Laura de Vos

Laura was born in Holland and grew up there. She started her training at the age of 6 as a competitive gymnast. After that she began dancing and graduated at the Fontys Dance academy in Holland. She completed an internship with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel and went to the Guangdong Modern Dance Festival in China to perform and to assist teaching dance theatre. Laura has worked with choreographers such as Uri Ivgi, Joost Vrouenraets (Gotra Ballet), Pia Meuthen and Aline Barbou. In January 2010 she moved to London to study at the London Contemporary Dance School and later joined EDge10, the postgraduate performance company, where she danced choreography by Wally Cardona and Rick Nodine. For this study she received the HSP scholarship for extraordinary talents and has since been nominated for the Jacques de Leeuw Prize. 

Laura joined Hofesh Shechter Companyas an apprentice dancer in April 2010.
