Natasha Zielazinski

Born in Honolulu , Hawaii , Natasha studied as a cellist at Cleveland Institute of Music from 1999-2004 before heading off to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama for further postgraduate studies. Since moving to London she has enjoyed a rich and diverse musical life, playing and collaborating with musicians, artists, dancers, and theatre groups from around the world. She regularly works with new music ensemble Jetsam, performing contemporary repertoire, commissions, as well as the creation of new works by the ensemble as a group. The ensemble performed in Bakau, the Gambia , this past December in collaboration with Woloff, Mandinka, and Susu musicians as well as London-based film artists. Natasha has also performed and recorded extensively in the UK and US within a variety of different contexts, from work with Kanye West to performances with contemporary music ensembles and groups of young people at the Barbican, Roundhouse, and Wigmore Hall among others.
