Hofesh Shechter presents deGeneration, an inspiring opportunity to see the youngest dancers of Hofesh Shechter Company at the start of their very promising careers, take on Shechter’s world and perform it with the ferocious physicality and intimate sensitivity, for which his Company is internationally renowned.

Known as Shechter Junior, the new apprentice company is made up of eight international young dancers (18-25), personally chosen by Shechter out of the 1,000 plus who auditioned. These extraordinarily talented young dancers tackle two creations from Shechter’s canon, Cult (2004) and Fragments (2003), the works that introduced his cinematic, smoky brand of dance to the world with a bang.

Completing the evening is the UK premiere of Disappearing Act a piece adapted from an earlier work by Shechter, which has been reworked especially for and inspired by the dancers of Shechter Junior.
